What is Food State?
Wholefood products are made from hydroponically grown brassica, a member of the broccoli family of vegetables. These are genuine wholefood supplements and are suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
Dawn of a new era - Wholefood nutrients
For the past 30 years we have promoted the philosophy that nutrients are best delivered
to the body in the same form as those in food, i.e. in a Food State or food complex.
From lone pioneers some 30 years ago, we now sit in a more comfortable position of endorsing established science. Our philosophy and message was founded on the simple logic that our bodies are designed to eat food and utilise its components for the maintenance of life. Our bodies are not designed to thrive on rocks or soil, but nutrients from these sources that have been biotransformed by plants.
Some 30 years ago, one of our Directors was fortunate to meet with the Directors of a company in America who were the pioneers of a unique range of Food State vitamin and mineral supplements. Food State products are “nutrients which are combined with appropriate natural food source materials.”
Since that date, we have been selling these products to doctors, scientists and retail customers around the world. Our business has grown by word of mouth and we have a strong and loyal following. At one time, Food State was described as being the “best kept secret in the health food industry”. Once people have tried Food State products and “experienced the difference”, they usually recommend us to their friends and stay with us for life.
We have also developed the previously described range of Wholefood nutrients derived from hydroponically grown, edible plants.
What are the advantages of Wholefood Minerals?
The new range comprises “Wholefood Multi”, “Wholefood Mins”, “Wholefood Zinc”, “Wholefood Iron” and “Wholefood Chromium”. As wholefood nutrients, they follow food metabolic pathways and are wholly beneficial. All these products contain a pure, dried vegetable (member of the broccoli family).
They contain all the bioactives that our bodies expect to obtain from fresh vegetables - our greatest protectors, and the component most absent from 21st Century diets. These include Indole-3-Carbinol, Sulphorophane and Glucosilinates.
Minerals are taken up from the hydroponic growth solution into the root systems of the plants. They are transported into the leaf vacuoles and become tissue metabolised into the plant leaf tissue. This is the natural process that also occurs during normal plant growth from soil. The advantage of using a hydroponic growth medium is that the mineral levels can be controlled, the growing environment can be kept consistent and the nutrition, temperature and light can be kept at optimum for growth, allowing a consistent, and mineral-rich product to be produced all year round.
Once the plants are ready to be harvested from the hydroponic medium “Phytoscan™” technology is implemented. Phytoscan™ is an x-ray process that gives non-invasive imaging of the structure of the plant material to assure potency, purity and quality. It visually reveals the form and location of each mineral to confirm absorption capabilities.
Summary of benefits:
- Precision-engineered delivery system
- Fully controlled environment from seed to finished material
- Optimised amounts and ratios of minerals
- The minerals we use in our Wholefood products are protected by patent.
- Their performance has been established in published scientific studies viz:
