Collagen is composed of amino acids and is the most abundant protein in the body, providing strength and structure to connective tissue‚ including tendons‚ ligaments‚ skin and muscles. As we age, collagen production naturally slows and these tissues lose resilience, elasticity and repair capacity, which can result in wrinkle formation, a loss of firmness and tone and joint discomfort. By providing the body with key amino acids in the same proportion as human collagen, Vegan Collagen helps to promote healthy looking hair, skin and nails, joint mobility and connective tissue strength.
Unlike traditional collagen sourced from animals, this innovative plant-based formula is produced through a fermentation and microencapsulation process, using corn starch as the starting material. This process allows us to obtain the exact combination and ratio we need without the use of animal ingredients or hydrolysis. The blend is highly bioavailable, making it easy for the body to absorb and use effectively. It delivers the complex of collagen amino acids for the body to utilise and to stimulate the body’s creation of further collagen.

What is vegan collagen?
Vegan collagen is made from fermented corn and is a bioidentical form of collagen that is produced through a precision fermentation process, not extracted from animals. In this method, corn starch is used as the starting material. Through fermentation microbes produce amino acid sequences identical to human collagen peptides. The result is animal-free collagen that mimics the structure and function of traditional collagen but is 100% plant-based and suitable for vegans.
How is it different from marine or bovine collagen?
Plant-based collagen is produced through fermentation (e.g. from corn) and is structurally identical to human collagen, offering a vegan alternative to marine or bovine collagen. Unlike animal-derived collagen, which comes from fish skin or bovine and requires hydrolysis, bioidentical collagen is made in a controlled process that ensures purity, precision and sustainability. It delivers collagen peptides without allergens or animal by-products, making it an ideal option for vegans and vegetarians.
