This high quality supplement is designed to support joint health in dogs of all ages and activity levels but may be especially indicated to help the pain and poor mobility often experienced by older dogs. It has been formulated using Colartix®, a unique hydrolysed cartilage matrix, extracted from a natural bovine source, containing hydrolysed type II collagen and chondroitin, key structural components naturally found in the body.
Collagen is the most abundant protein in a dog’s body, accounting for about 30% of total protein. It plays a vital role in the structure of skin, muscles, tendons and especially connective tissues such as cartilage. Among the various types, type II collagen is particularly important as it supports joint function and maintains the integrity of cartilage, the tissue that cushions bones, absorbs shock and allows smooth comfortable movement.
Chondroitin sulphate is also a critical component of healthy cartilage. It helps retain moisture, provides lubrication to joints and contribute to the tissue’s strength and elasticity. As dogs age or experience wear and tear, natural levels decline, impacting mobility and comfort.
For acute use: 1 capsule per 20kg. For maintenance: half a capsule per 20kg. Open capsule and sprinkle onto food, or as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

In most cases, yes. This product complements other supplements in our pet range such as Doggie Omega 3 and Doggie Joint Support. If your dog is on medications, it is recommended to consult your vet before use.
How does type II collagen benefit my dog’s joints?
Type II collagen is the primary protein in cartilage. Cartilage covers the ends of bones within joints, cushioning and protecting the joints from rubbing together, allowing them to glide smoothly. Pain and inflammation can arise without healthy cartilage.
Is this supplement safe for long-term use?
Yes. The ingredients are naturally sourced and well-tolerated, making the product safe for ongoing support. However, we always recommend checking with your vet before starting any new supplement, especially for dogs with underlying conditions.
