Garlic (Allium sativum) is a healthful food rich in potent phytonutrients and antioxidant compounds, potassium, phosphorus, B vitamins, vitamin C, amino acids and sulphur-containing compounds. It has a long history of traditional use as a health food. It is purported to support immunity, gut health, heart function and circulation.
Allicin is one of the key sulphur-like compounds. When garlic is crushed, the enzyme alliinase converts alliin into allicin, which is responsible for the aroma of fresh garlic.
Organic garlic is certified organic by the Soil Association and each capsule contains 400mg of garlic powder.
1-2 capsules daily with food, or take as directed by a practitioner.
